The prototyping and testing periods for our latest crochet pattern have come to an end, and the Comfy Couture Shorts pattern is available now! Just in time for cool summer nights by the bonfire and relaxing under the sunset with your toes in the sand, these shorts are an absolute staple piece for any crocheter’s wardrobe.
I designed these shorts with 3 goals in mind: versatility, comfort, and cuteness.
Versatility: The pattern includes 8+ different waistband style customization combos (between all the different drawstring style options and the 2-in-1 high-waist/fold-over waistband functionality), optional decorative hem detail, and instructions on how to make your shorts the perfect fit for you. Follow the general size chart provided in the pattern or make your shorts to measure using your exact measurements.
Comfort: if I had to describe how these shorts feel, I would say, “Like I’m wearing a cloud.” They’re durable, breathable, and highly flexible! The stretchy waistband paired with the drawstring(s) makes these shorts an amazing wardrobe essential for anybody who wants a highly customized fit or experiences frequent weight fluctuations and wants comfortable, adorable clothes that will fit year-round through every phase of your body’s journey.
Cuteness: I went for a look that says, “Cute and cozy, but in a luxurious way; the perfect shorts for curling up with a book on a rainy day.” There are so many styling options for these shorts for each season: pair them with tights or thigh-highs, boots, and a jacket in the fall, or just a simple tank top or sports bra in the summer.
So far I’ve made 3 pairs: black-and-white to match my primarily black and grey wardrobe, purple to add a pop of color and magical vibes, and a pink pair for when I want to feel vibrant!
