Apply to become a pattern tester for my Comfy Ribbed Shorts/Pants Crochet Pattern! You don’t need to be an expert crocheter; I would love feedback from crocheters of all experience levels.
Looking for an exciting summer crochet project? Are you a crocheter looking to add some DIY flare to your wardrobe for that upcoming vacation? Or do you simply want some cute cozy shorts to lounge around the house in? Well, Sugar Sprite Crochet is in search of crocheters just like you to test out our latest crochet pattern!
What is a pattern tester call? A pattern test is the process of giving a select handful of people early access to a crochet pattern free of charge so that they can test it out and provide feedback to the pattern maker to help make the final pattern as clear and high quality as possible before it’s made available to the public. In exchange for their feedback, the testers receive a free copy of the finished pattern, and their photos shared (with credit, of course!) on all Sugar Sprite Crochet social media platforms. So, the pattern tester call means I’m in search of crocheters like you to test my latest pattern!

*I’ve received feedback that some of you are having issues opening the DOCX version of the application, so I’ve included the PDF version as an alternative. You may still use the DOCX version if you prefer, but the choice is up to you! Both options are available below. 🙂 You may type your answers directly onto the application form, or you may just email me your numbered answers. Formatting isn’t very important here–what’s most important is your responses!

The deadline to apply to be a pattern tester is June 12, 2026.
Testers will be chosen by June 15, 2026.
