Sugar Sprite Crochet was established in 2024, but my love for crocheting dates back to the mid 2000’s, when my grandma gave me my first crochet hook (a 5.0mm, of course!) and skein of yarn and showed me how to make my first stitch.
Many hours of Grammy’s mentorship (and the help of lots of crochet books and online tutorials) later, I was absolutely hooked. I made my first amigurumis as friends for my Neopets, fingerless gloves for Fall weather, and scarves for my teddy bears. Before long, family and friends began requesting crochet goodies of their own, so I got to work!
Over a decade later, after much encouragement from my supportive coworkers, friends, and family, I took to the internet to start my first business doing what I love: Sugar Sprite Crochet.
My mission: to contribute to the slow fashion movement while promoting creativity and sustainability by sharing the craft that I’ve loved for nearly 20 years.
I aim to promote slow fashion and sustainable shopping by providing handmade clothes, accessories, plushies, and a variety of other products that customers can cherish with confidence for many years to come knowing that they are investing in high quality items that are ethically crafted with love. In an effort to keep these products as accessible as possible and promote better mental health through the satisfaction of hands on crafting, Sugar Sprite Crochet offers a variety of free and paid patterns for all the DIYers out there!
